for eigrp 88 and ospf 89...

the knee jerk is to assume that these are udp/tcp ports but the fact is these are protocols doled out by IANA for the purpose of sharing changes to routing neighbors...

they are not ports...

Protocol numbers are used to configure firewalls, routers, and proxy servers. In Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4, Request for Comments [RFC] 791I), the protocol number can be found in the Protocol field of an IP header.

they ride directly on ip...
