there was a time when youtube didn't exist and it wasn't that long ago... in the early-mid 2000's when i first started looking into cisco certs there was almost nothing available for free, except cisco.com... the occasional article, yeah, but folks weren't really blogging about their cert pursuit like they have in recent years... the landscape is vastly different, gns3 has become a game changer, and youtube almost single handedly revolutionized the entertainment industry, as well as the education industry...
finding a video back then in a particular cert track was nearly impossible, and i remember cisco even charged for the few they did offer... arrrgh...
this has also made the competition for vendors formidable... in fact i dare say some of them may even be hurting as a result... i'm also certain sites like my own haven't helped them either...
now everybody and their brother has a video, a site, a better way, et al... which is good... you have options like never before...
segue to jeremy cioara on youtube... while i don't necessarily appreciate his delivery (his videos are bloated with a lot of banter) if you can sift through his ramblings, there is definitely a wealth of information to be had...
contrast that with kevin wallace's tshoot videos which are packed with information, and no personal bloat, but kevin's need to be purchased, which of course i did...
anyway, thank you jeremy cioara for making these videos and putting them on youtube... or at least i hope you authorized that...
the sad part is, as i watch them, i've noticed the scant amount of hits they've gotten... 142 hits on this one... WHAT?
wow... what's wrong with you people?
