inside the vm...

i installed vmware to check it out and it's very cool.... i assigned 20 gig to the vmplayer and a gig of ram for it's purposes... naturally when you shut it off it gives back those resources... it is a machine within a machine, a vdisk like in the old days... below you'll see a telnet representation of my switch lab from the vm... virtualization in it's many forms has become a big player n the network world the last couple of years... time to throw my hat in...

here you can see the resources allocated for the vm and the usage... notice the single cpu output...

so i bounced out of the vm, back to the desktop to show the resource usage for the entire machine below, and am finishing this post that i started from the vm, from the desktop of the ubu box...
